The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking entry-level Border Patrol Agents to protect the borders of the United States. This position offers a long-term federal law enforcement career with significant duties involving public safety and security.
Key responsibilities
Detect and question individuals suspected of violations of immigration and customs laws.
Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near borders.
Conduct surveillance using covert tactics, including night operations.
Perform various checks, including farm, building, traffic, and city patrols.
Patrol international boundaries and waterways with government vehicles and resources.
Required skills
Experience in public safety, law enforcement, military police, or security.
Ability to make sound decisions in stressful situations.
Skills in gathering information through observation and questioning.
Firearm proficiency and sound judgment in law enforcement contexts.
Proficiency in both English and Spanish.

Annual base salary ranging from $51,632 to $92,912.
