Overview

Metroplex Tax Advisors LLC is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Payroll Specialist to join their growing accounting and tax firm in Fort Worth, Texas. The role involves managing bookkeeping functions for multiple clients, processing payroll, reconciling accounts, and assisting with daily financial reporting tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform monthly bookkeeping services for multiple business clients
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and loan accounts
  • Record and categorize financial transactions accurately
  • Process payroll and payroll tax filings
  • Prepare quarterly and annual payroll reports
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy
  • Review client financial records for missing or incorrect transactions
  • Communicate with clients regarding bookkeeping and payroll questions
  • Assist with cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping projects
  • Generate financial reports including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets
  • Maintain organized digital client files and records
  • Work closely with tax preparers to ensure accurate financial reporting

Required skills

  • Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Experience processing payroll for multiple clients
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
  • Understanding of payroll tax filings and compliance
  • Experience reconciling accounts and reviewing financial data
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Experience in a tax office or accounting firm
