Job Description

Overview

The Onsite Multifamily Property Management Bookkeeper at Arcadia Management Services is responsible for high-volume accounting tasks for a large multifamily portfolio. The role involves financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance while collaborating closely with onsite management teams and corporate accounting.

Key responsibilities

  • Process high-volume accounts payable, including invoice review and payment processing
  • Manage accounts receivable functions, including rent posting and delinquency tracking
  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries across multiple properties
  • Perform monthly reconciliations and support month-end and year-end close
  • Reconcile resident ledgers and research discrepancies
  • Prepare and distribute routine financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency

Required skills

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping or property accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
  • Proficiency with multifamily property management/accounting software (Yardi, RealPage, AppFolio, MRI or similar)
  • Strong Excel skills, including spreadsheets and reconciliations
  • Ability to manage high transaction volumes accurately
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time-management skills
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
