Job Description Job Description JOB SUMMARY:AXIS Automation is looking for a Bookkeeper to work directly with the Controller to work with the company's accounts, making sure that every transaction, deposit and income is recorded in the company ledger. Bookkeepers use software to track these numbers, sometimes take in cash and checks, and record the transactions. Bookkeepers are often called upon to produce reports to help explain to management where company money is going and make sure that any discrepancies in the financial records are reconciled. We are looking for a professional with a proven track record of accomplishments in admin and data entry that is eager to learn multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Join the AXIS team in supplying innovative solutions in automation to Fortune 500 snack food and baking companies worldwide.ACCOUNTABILITY:Produce correct financial dataDaily accounting entries including AR/AP/OC/INVReconcile accounting discrepancies with vendors and customersProvide accurate monthly reconciliations by the 10th of the monthGenerate and distribute financial data in a timely mannerROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Accounts payableAccounts receivableAccounts reconciliationJob order processing and evaluation of estimated vs. actual costsAssist with monthly account closeCompile reportsIndustry research and cost cutting methodsData entry and general administrative functionsQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma - Associate's in Business Administration or equivalent preferred2-5 years accounting experience in manufacturing or related work experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office programs, spreadsheets and databases and using accounting softwareStrong communication and Math skills are crucialConfidentiality is critical when working with the company's financial documentsAttention to details and deadlines are essentialExcellent organizational skillsCapable of prioritizing work in a fast-paced environmentDESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus+PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (and ADDITIONAL NOTES):Working conditions are normal for clerical work in a manufacturing environmentRequires the use of PSPE including steel toe shoes and safety glasses in manufacturing areas Company Description AXIS Automation is a global leader in the design and manufacture of fully automated decorating and finishing systems for bakeries around the world.
