Overview

Austin Auto Body, a division of H&K Group, is seeking a 1st Shift Body Shop Technician in Skippack, PA, to focus on collision repair of automotive vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and customer service abilities, contributing to a team dedicated to quality automotive repair services.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform collision repair of damaged automotive bodies and body parts
  • Examine damaged vehicles and estimate costs of repairs
  • Remove upholstery and accessories to access vehicle body
  • Remove dents using dolly block and beats opposite surface
  • Fill depressions with body filler
  • Remove damaged parts and weld or bolt in replacements
  • Straighten automobile frames with frame straightening machine
  • Refinish repaired surfaces and paint after repairs
  • Repair or replace defective mechanical parts
  • Follow OSHA and H&K Safety policies

Required skills

  • 1-year certificate from a college or technical school, or 3 months of related experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to utilize appropriate PPE
  • Physical ability to meet job demands including movement and lifting
  • General computer skills and knowledge of relevant software
  • Experience with collision repair, sanding, and painting
  • OSHA or relevant safety training or certifications
