Overview

State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company is seeking a Bodily Injury Attorney for their Fort Lauderdale office to provide high-quality legal services in insurance defense. This role offers opportunities for case ownership and litigation strategy while working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle litigation and legal assignments in accordance with law department guidelines
  • Prepare and summarize reports for legal proceedings
  • Develop trial strategies and case management
  • Attend litigation events such as trials, mediations, depositions, and hearings

Required skills

  • 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense for bodily injury
  • First-chair trial experience preferred
  • Knowledge of local and state discovery rules and trial procedures
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with technology/software in legal practice
  • Working knowledge of case management and document storage systems
  • J.D. from an A.B.A. Accredited Law School and active law license in Florida
