Overview

The Parts Counterperson at Competition BMW of Smithtown will support the team by delivering exceptional service to customers and technicians. This role involves overseeing the parts sales process and ensuring excellent communication with all stakeholders while upholding the company’s values of professionalism and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
  • Assist service advisors, technicians, and both retail and wholesale clients
  • Provide a high-level customer service experience
  • Communicate parts pricing and availability to advisors and customers
  • Ensure internal requests for parts are priced and billed correctly
  • Answer phone calls providing price quotes and parts availability
  • Pull and fill orders from stock
  • Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts
  • Receive payments from retail customers
  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up
  • Review body shop estimates for accurate parts ordering
