Overview

Commercial Employees is seeking a Blending Operator for a manufacturer of automotive products in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. This contract to hire position involves loading, unloading, and blending products while ensuring quality and safety in operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and blend products in a safe and efficient manner
  • Control quality and storage of liquid products
  • Coordinate operational procedures and packaging for bulk materials
  • Monitor blending quality and collaborate with the blending team
  • Complete and document all necessary paperwork and documentation
  • Receive bulk chemicals and raw materials, including tankers and rail cars
  • Investigate out-of-specification materials
  • Perform material handling operations and maintain cleanliness
  • Inspect tanks and piping systems for safety
  • Perform necessary maintenance functions and uphold safety regulations

Required skills

  • Merchant Mariner Document license for barge unloading
  • High School diploma or GED or 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Certified forklift operator
  • PC skills, including MS Word and MS Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with co-workers
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Understanding of written instructions and ability to follow assignments
  • Good judgment and decision-making capabilities
