Overview

Commercial Employees is seeking a Blending Operator for a manufacturer in New Kensington, specializing in automotive products such as anti-freeze and motor oil. This role involves blending products, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards within the workplace.

Key responsibilities

  • Load and unload products in a safe and efficient manner
  • Blend products and coordinate with the blending team
  • Monitor quality and storage of liquid products
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and documentation requirements
  • Receive bulk chemicals and raw materials
  • Assist in investigating out-of-specification materials
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the blending area
  • Perform material handling operations and clean up waste materials
  • Inspect tanks and piping systems for safety

Required skills

  • Merchant Mariner Document license for barge unloading
  • High School diploma or GED or 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Certified forklift operator
  • PC skills, including MS Word and MS Excel
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in team settings as well as independently
  • Attention to detail and good judgment
