Overview

The Blaster I role at Calgon Carbon Corporation involves hands-on work in an industrial environment focused on quality, safety, and precision. This position offers the opportunity to develop skills in abrasive blasting, coating applications, inspections, and equipment operations according to industry standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform abrasive blasting on small tanks and piping systems to meet SSPC surface cleanliness and profile requirements
  • Prepare equipment and surfaces for painting and coating through cleaning, solvent wiping, taping, and masking
  • Mix and apply paints and linings in accordance with manufacturer specifications
  • Inspect surface preparation and coating applications for quality, compliance, and defects
  • Document inspection results and monitor ambient conditions
  • Operate forklifts and assist with blasting, painting, and other production-related tasks
  • Maintain compliance with company safety procedures, policies, and quality standards

Required skills
