BlasterLocation: Equipment & Assembly Facility - Pittsburgh, PAPay: $24.38/hr. starting + structured wage progressionBonus: $500 New-Hire Retention Bonus Calgon Carbon A Kuraray CompanyWhy This Role Stands OutThis role offers the opportunity to work hands-on in a skilled industrial environment focused on quality, safety, and precision. Our Blasters will have the opportunity to build their skills across blasting, coating applications, inspections, and equipment operations while meeting industry standardsWhat You'll Be DoingPerform abrasive blasting on small tanks and piping systems to meet SSPC surface cleanliness and profile requirementsPrepare equipment and surfaces for painting and coating through cleaning, solvent wiping, taping, and maskingMix and apply paints and linings in accordance with manufacturer specifications and application requirementsInspect surface preparation and coating applications for quality, compliance and defects, making repairs as neededDocument inspection results, monitor ambient conditions, and verify coating thickness and surface profiles using required gauges and toolsOperate forklifts and assist with blasting, painting, and other production-related tasks as requiredMaintain compliance with company safety procedures, policies, and quality standardsWhat We're Looking For1+ years of experience general laborLess than High school educationSand Blasting (preferred)ScheduleRotating shift operation (details reviewed during the screening process)Overtime opportunities as business needs requirePay, Bonus & Benefits$24.38/hr. starting pay with structured wage progressionShift Differential: Additional $3.00 per hour for qualifying shifts$500 new-hire retention bonus$500 after 9 months of successful employmentExcellent benefits starting Day 1Medical, dental, vision & prescription coverage401(k) with generous company matchPaid time off (vacation starting at 3 weeks)Tuition reimbursement and ongoing skill developmentAbout Calgon CarbonWith more than 80 years of innovation and 200+ patents, Calgon Carbon designs and manufactures advanced activated carbon solutions used globally.
