Overview

As a Biology Quality Assurance Lead, you will oversee the quality and consistency of AI-generated biology content and trainer performance across biology training projects. This role involves assessing scientific accuracy, providing feedback, maintaining documentation, and supporting team onboarding within a fast-growing AI Data Services company. You will play a crucial role in improving AI models by ensuring high standards in biology training data.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor quality by spot-checking biology items and identifying quality issues.
  • Evaluate AI-generated biology content for correctness and clarity.
  • Communicate updates and quality expectations to trainers and QAs via Discord.
  • Respond promptly to trainer and QA questions regarding biological topics.
  • Encourage activation and track follow-ups with inactive contributors.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Conduct onboarding and training sessions for new trainers and QAs.
  • Ensure all contributors consistently apply biology guidelines.
  • Flag unsafe or misleading biological recommendations.
  • Propose and implement process improvements for QA workflows.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Biology or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in biology research, teaching, or quality control
  • Strong understanding of core biology topics
  • Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics
  • Familiarity with biology tools like PCR/qPCR, sequencing, and lab documentation
  • Experience leading remote teams
  • Proficient in using tools like Discord, Google Sheets, and project management systems
  • Detail-oriented and organized in maintaining quality documentation
  • Experience in AI training or scientific content QA is a plus
