Overview

Hilscher Clarke Electric is seeking a full-time BIM Lead for their Pataskala, Ohio office. This role involves leading BIM processes on various projects, managing a team of BIM Modelers, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and project-specific BIM standards
  • Lead overall model coordination and perform complex clash detection
  • Establish project templates, file-sharing protocols, and a Common Data Environment (CDE)
  • Act as the primary contact for all BIM-related activities
  • Oversee the generation of BIM deliverables ensuring they meet Level of Development (LOD) requirements
  • Organize and lead regular BIM coordination and model review meetings
  • Directly manage and mentor a small team of BIM Modelers
  • Perform regular quality audits of team models for accuracy and compliance
  • Provide technical guidance and training for team members
  • Stay updated with industry trends and implement new BIM-related technologies

Required skills

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a BIM/VDC role
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in BIM
  • Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks Manage
  • Knowledge of Electrical or Construction Management
  • Understanding of construction processes including design, coordination, and installation
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Knowledge of Dynamo, Python, or other scripting languages for BIM automation (preferred)
  • Familiarity with industry standards like ISO 19650 (preferred)
