Overview

Hilscher-Clarke is looking for a full-time BIM Lead to join their team in Pataskala, Ohio. This role involves overseeing the planning, implementation, and coordination of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes on various projects while managing a small team of BIM Modelers. Key responsibilities

  • Create and maintain the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and project-specific BIM standards.
  • Lead model coordination efforts and perform complex clash detection using software like Navisworks.
  • Establish project templates and a Common Data Environment (CDE) for collaboration.
  • Act as the primary contact for all BIM-related activities.
  • Oversee the generation of BIM deliverables to meet project LOD requirements.
  • Organize and lead regular BIM coordination meetings.
  • Directly manage a small team of BIM Modelers and assign tasks.
  • Conduct regular quality audits of team models for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to the team.
  • Identify training needs and conduct internal training sessions.
  • Stay current with industry trends and innovate BIM processes.

Required skills

  • 3+ years of experience in a BIM/VDC role within the AEC industry.
  • 2 years of leadership experience managing a team.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks Manage.
  • Knowledge of Electrical or Construction Management.
  • Understanding of construction processes including design and installation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Dynamo, Python, or scripting languages for BIM automation preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry standards like ISO 19650 preferred.
