Overview

Wayne Brothers Companies is seeking a highly motivated BIM Engineer for Structures to join their team in Walterboro, SC. This role involves creating and coordinating constructible 3D models in collaboration with concrete construction experts, utilizing cutting-edge technologies to solve problems and improve project workflows.

Key responsibilities

  • Generate BIM models for project management, coordination, and communication
  • Collaborate with design managers and project teams for effective model creation
  • Attend training sessions and conferences to enhance skills
  • Coordinate changes and revisions in the model during construction
  • Detail rebar, formwork, structural steel, and embedded items as required
  • Manage time efficiently and maintain records of project time and model folders
  • Communicate regularly with estimating team and VDC Manager

Required skills

  • 4-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or 2-year degree plus experience
  • Experience with Tekla Structures (preferred)
  • Proficiency with the Windows environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of construction estimating and detailing
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification (provided by Wayne Brothers)
