Job Description

Overview

ABS Kids is seeking a Bilingual Behavior Technician to make a difference in the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder. This role involves implementing individualized behavior plans under the guidance of Board Certified Behavior Analysts, collecting data on client behavior, and providing essential life skills support.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior plans and protocols designed by BCBAs
  • Collect and record data on client behavior and progress
  • Provide one-on-one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder
  • Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff
  • Help children develop essential life skills such as motor skills and personal hygiene
  • Collaborate with families and clients to ensure effective support
  • Engage in physical activities, including getting up and down off the floor frequently

Required skills

  • 6+ months of experience working with kids or adults with special needs
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Ability to physically engage with clients
  • Tech-savvy with data collection software and basic office software
  • Playful and creative approach to working with children
