Job Description

Overview

The Benefits Analyst at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits will be responsible for the accounting and administration of various benefits plans, including COBRA, Life, and Disability. This role involves analyzing and reporting on benefits-related data while ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage accounting and administration of all benefits plans
  • Ensure reconciliation of benefit payments to the General Ledger
  • Validate interface error reports and update vendor website accordingly
  • Prepare COBRA payments and audit vendor notices
  • Lead audits and coordinate meetings with relevant stakeholders
  • Utilize reporting tools to create ad hoc and census reports
  • Ensure data quality and compliance in HRIS systems
  • Address benefit plan inquiries in a timely manner
  • Assist with billing rate updates and participate in mergers and acquisitions

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Finance or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in benefits administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with financial analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of benefits administration processes and HRIS systems
  • Strong analytical and data troubleshooting skills
