Overview

Join Lowes Foods as a Bench - Assistant Deli Manager and be part of a family-owned company committed to excellent guest service and high standards in deli operations. This role involves supervising deli department staff, maintaining inventory, and achieving sales goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from deli staff
  • Achieve budgeted sales, shrink, and profits for the deli department
  • Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies
  • Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines
  • Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards
  • Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department
  • Provide guidance and training to deli department staff
  • Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as needed
  • Maintain department's labor budget and scheduling standards
  • Perform PA announcements and other assigned duties

Required skills

  • Knowledge of deli operations
  • Team leadership and supervision experience
  • Customer service and effective communication skills
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to read and understand information and directions
  • Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
