Job Description

Overview

The Behavioral Health Clinical Therapist at UCHealth in Littleton, Colorado, is responsible for providing comprehensive mental health assessment, treatment, and coordination of care for patients and their families. This role requires independent clinical practice within a structured career ladder that encourages professional growth and skill development.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement counseling and therapy for assigned patients in individual and group settings
  • Conduct interviews and assess patients along with their families or caregivers
  • Determine and arrange necessary services and interventions
  • Participate in case reviews and care conferences to evaluate patient progress
  • Assist with discharge planning and connect patients with community-based resources
  • Ensure educational needs of patients and families are met
  • Train new staff, students, and interns as assigned
  • Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
  • State licensure as LCSW, LPC, MFT, or other acceptable certification
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire
  • Advanced CPI certification within 30 days of hire with yearly recertification
  • Critical thinking and decisive judgment skills
