Job Description

Overview

Lighthouse CH is a specialized agency in New York City focused on providing top-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services for children with autism. They are looking for passionate Behavior Technicians to deliver one-on-one therapy, supporting the development and well-being of children and their families under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement ABA therapy techniques under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to children based on individualized treatment plans.
  • Teach and reinforce appropriate social, communication, and behavioral skills.
  • Foster a positive and engaging therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • Conduct assessments, collect data, and track progress.
  • Collaborate with the BCBA and interdisciplinary team to review progress and modify treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/caregivers regarding therapy goals and progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Required skills

  • Experience in ABA therapy or working with individuals on the autism spectrum (preferred, not required)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented approach to follow treatment plans and collect data
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
  • Growth mindset and willingness to learn
