Overview

As a Long-Term Substitute Behavior Coach at River Rock Academy, you will provide vital support to students facing behavioral and academic challenges by modeling positive behaviors and fostering a structured environment. Your role is crucial in ensuring continuity and stability for students during staff transitions, contributing to their academic and personal growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct mentorship and guidance to promote positive behavior
  • Maintain accountability and supervision of students throughout the school day
  • Support classroom management and assist teachers in creating a safe learning environment
  • Monitor, document, and report student behavior and interventions
  • Respond to behavioral or crisis situations using Safe Crisis Management practices

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Passion for helping children and adolescents
  • Calm, caring, and patient approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation
