The facility handles a full range of species including beef, pork, lamb, and goat, with a dedicated harvest floor that runs five days a week. The team is experienced, tight-knit, and takes the work seriously. Real pay for a physically demanding and skilled role.Consistent 1st shift schedule with strong work-life balance401(k) with 100% employer match on the first 3%Partially employer-paid medical, dental, vision, and life insurance100% employer-paid short-term disabilityProfit-sharing bonus based on annual performance and meritPaid holidays and PTO that grows with tenureRelocation assistance available for the right out-of-area candidate Responsibilities Perform all phases of the harvest process including stunning, bleeding, skinning, eviscerating, splitting, and trimming carcassesHandle livestock humanely throughout the process, following all animal welfare standardsTrim, wash, and weigh carcasses to ensure quality and complianceSharpen and maintain knives and harvest floor equipment throughout the shiftKeep the harvest floor, walls, equipment, and workstations clean and always sanitizedFollow all HACCP Plan requirements and food safety protocols without exceptionSupport barn duties including weighing, feeding, and watering livestock as experience developsAssist with general floor sanitation and end-of-shift cleanup Requirements1+ years of meat processing and harvesting or related slaughter experience. Prior harvest floor or slaughter experience is preferred. Motivated candidates willing to learn will also be considered.Comfort working in a physical, fast-paced environment.
