Overview

The Inn & Spa at Loretto is seeking a Bartender to join their team, where every interaction is an opportunity to create memorable guest experiences. This role involves not just preparing beverages but also crafting moments through excellent service and genuine connections, playing a vital part in the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve beverages for bar guests and dining service
  • Deliver warm, professional, and seamless guest experiences
  • Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming bar environment
  • Maintain proper alcohol service standards and verify guest identification
  • Accurately handle cash and credit transactions and complete tip reporting
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar and lounge areas
  • Manage bar inventory, restocking, and storage of supplies
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and company service standards
  • Maintain a polished, professional appearance at all times

Required skills

  • High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of beverage preparation and responsible alcohol service practices
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Server Certification required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, and pull 30+ pounds
  • High-volume and/or fine dining experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer & wine
