Overview

The Banquets Houseperson at Marriott International is responsible for the cleanup and organization of banquet spaces after events, ensuring that all equipment is returned to its proper location and that service areas are maintained in a clean and orderly manner. This role requires teamwork and attention to detail, as well as a commitment to providing excellent service to guests.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete final breakdown of function by cleaning rooms and returning equipment to proper locations
  • Perform closing duties, including storing reusable goods and locking doors
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned stations
  • Transport and separate dirty linen for cleaning
  • Assist other departments to ensure optimal guest service
  • Follow safety and security policies and report any unsafe conditions
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance and uphold company standards
  • Engage with guests and attend to their service needs
  • Move and lift objects, including heavy items with assistance
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested
