Overview

The Banking Center Manager at Midland States Bank is a leadership role focused on driving sales and ensuring excellent customer service at the Smithton location. This role involves managing a team of sales professionals, achieving business development goals, and fostering a positive environment that prioritizes customer needs while maintaining operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and coach a team to meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities and drive portfolio growth.
  • Set expectations and provide career development plans for branch staff.
  • Create and execute an effective business plan to grow market share within the community.
  • Generate new business by calling on small business customers and maintaining existing relationships.
  • Provide timely performance feedback to employees through regular meetings and coaching.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Participate in community activities to promote the bank's services.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of sales management experience with proven success in driving sales.
  • 5+ years of retail sales and customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of lending products and business development.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer focus.
