Overview

As a Baker at Aramark, you will be an integral member of the Food Services Team at the University of South Carolina, preparing a variety of baked goods while following safety and production guidelines. This role allows you to explore different flavors and baking styles, contributing to the quality service provided to guests and clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Bakes and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, and chopping
  • Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, and mixers
  • Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
  • Properly stores food adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Ensures security of company assets

Required skills

  • Previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
  • Proven knowledge of baking methods and food safety regulations
  • Required to obtain food safety certification(s)
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
