We are, an enterprise fintech startup focused on the insurance industry, is seeking Backend Software Engineers (4 12 YOE) to join our growing team.This is a high-impact role for a curious, highly autonomous engineer who wants to own the design and implementation of end-to-end workflows in a complex, high-stakes domain. You'll play a foundational role in building the product from the ground up, tackling challenging backend and automation problems from day one.What you'll do:Build end-to-end workflows for insurance agencies, with a focus on automation and AI-driven solutionsIntegrate with fragmented and often low-tech systems, creating reliable and scalable infrastructureWork directly with customers to gather feedback, iterate quickly, and translate technical concepts into clear solutionsContribute to greenfield development, building on top of an existing browser automation layerCollaborate on system design and architecture to solve complex, real-world problemsWhat we're looking for:4 15 years of backend engineering experience in startup environmentsExperience at early-stage companies (pre-Series D) within the last 4 years; founding engineer experience is a plusProficiency in modern backend languages, preferably TypeScript.Background working in complex or low-tech industries (insurance, fintech, healthcare) preferredProven experience building and shipping backend systemsProficiency with modern AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor)Experience with browser automation or web scraping is a plusStrong curiosity and willingness to engage directly with customersThis is an opportunity to build meaningful infrastructure at the intersection of AI, fintech, and insurance while having real ownership and impact from day one.
