Overview

Pacific Life is seeking an AVP, Product & Pricing to join their Workforce Benefits Finance organization. This role is crucial for managing the lifecycle performance of Group Life, Group Disability, and Leave/Absence products while ensuring compliance and profitability. The position requires strong leadership and collaboration with various teams within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Own portfolio strategy and outcomes for Workforce Benefits Life, Disability, and Leave/Absence products.
  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle, including innovations and business case development.
  • Establish and approve pricing frameworks and portfolio guardrails.
  • Drive differentiation of product and pricing capabilities.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high performing team.
  • Oversee month-end and quarter-end reserving activities.
  • Lead and approve product, pricing, and risk committee readiness and approvals.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, finance, business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in workforce benefits or group insurance.
  • Actuarial credential (FSA) preferred.
  • Leadership in product and pricing management.
  • Experience with cross-functional decision-making.
  • Strong executive communication skills.
