Overview

The Avionics/Electrical Technician 4 at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational integrity of avionics and electrical systems on aircraft. This role is pivotal in providing technical expertise, leadership, and support in testing, troubleshooting, and making necessary repairs, contributing to the overall safety and quality of aviation services.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform operational testing and troubleshooting of avionics and aircraft systems.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to personnel.
  • Ensure quality assurance in installations and repairs.
  • Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate system performance.
  • Document all work performed on aircraft accurately.
  • Oversee compliance with engineering changes and modifications.
  • Enforce safety regulations and company programs.
  • Adapt to sudden schedule changes and coordinate with other disciplines.

Required skills

  • Six years of experience in avionics/electrical fields or two years of accredited schooling and four years of related exp
  • A&P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting avionics and aircraft systems.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Knowledge of electrical component installation and testing.
