Overview

The Avionics/Electrical Tech Lead at Gulfstream Aerospace in Brunswick, Georgia is responsible for planning and coordinating all electrical and avionics activities while providing customers with information on aircraft schedules and repairs. This role requires significant experience in aircraft avionics and electrical systems, as well as leadership skills to supervise a team of technicians and ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and complete tasks to meet master schedule requirements.
  • Provide daily status reports and updates to management.
  • Supervise and instruct electrical technicians on troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain records and ensure compliance with operational procedures.
  • Enforce safety regulations and programs within the hangar.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines for project requirements.
  • Establish an environment of innovation and Lean thinking.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 8 years of experience in aircraft avionics or electrical career field
  • FAA A&P license or ability to obtain a repairman certificate
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance records
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and general computer applications
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and avionics system drawings
  • Capable of physical tasks including climbing and lifting
