Overview

As an Avionics/Electrical Tech 4 at Gulfstream Aerospace in Mesa, Arizona, you will play a vital role in repairing and testing avionics and electronic systems to ensure defect-free aircraft. The position requires strong technical expertise and leadership to guide the team in maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform operational, functional tests and repairs of avionics and electronic systems
  • Provide direct training to personnel for cross-training goals
  • Teach installation and functional testing of electrical and avionics components
  • Ensure quality and efficiency of installations and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems
  • Oversee engineering changes and modifications compliance
  • Conduct functional and operational tests for performance evaluation
  • Maintain documentation of all work performed on aircraft
  • Coordinate projects with other disciplines
  • Adapt to sudden schedule changes

Required skills

  • Six years of experience in avionics/electrical field or two years of accredited schooling plus four years of experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A&P license, FCC license or NCATT certification preferred
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair techniques including splicing and soldering
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
  • English language proficiency
