Job Description

Overview

As an Avionics/Electrical Tech 4 at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, you will provide leadership and technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing avionics and aircraft electronic systems. The role involves mentoring other team members, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and maintaining documentation of work performed.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform operational testing and troubleshooting of avionics and aircraft systems.
  • Provide training to personnel to support cross-training goals.
  • Teach installation and functional testing of electrical and avionics systems per engineering specifications.
  • Ensure quality and efficiency of installations and repairs of malfunctioning systems.
  • Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
  • Maintain daily logs and documentation of work performed.
  • Oversee compliance with engineering changes and modifications.
  • Enforce safety regulations and company programs such as FOD and tool control.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Six years of experience in avionics/electrical field or two years of accredited schooling plus four years of related exp
  • A & P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification preferred
  • Proficiency in testing and repairing avionics systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems beyond avionics (e.g., hydraulics, landing gear) preferred
  • Skills in soldering, pinning, and splicing wiring
