The Avionics/Electrical Tech 3 position at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Mesa, Arizona, involves providing technical expertise for operational testing and repairs of avionics and aircraft electronic systems. Key responsibilities

  • Perform operational testing and troubleshooting of avionics and aircraft systems
  • Teach installation and functional testing of electrical and avionics components
  • Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, including troubleshooting and repairs
  • Repair or replace defective components and wiring
  • Oversee compliance with engineering changes and modifications
  • Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance
  • Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation of work performed
  • Pre-inspect work of others to reduce rework and inspection time

Required skills

  • 5 years of experience in avionics/electrical career field
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A & P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification preferred
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting avionics and aircraft systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
  • Experience with splicing, soldering and pinning of wiring
  • Preferred proficiency in hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, and environmental controls
