The Avionics/Electrical Tech 2 at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation provides technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft systems to minimize schedule impact. The role involves installing and testing electrical and avionics components, ensuring high standards of safety and quality while meeting operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate technical skills in avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting
  • Install and functionally test electrical/avionics components and systems on aircraft
  • Ensure quality and efficiency in all installations and repairs
  • Document all work performed on the aircraft for inspection
  • Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate system performance
  • Comply with engineering changes and modifications as required
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company programs

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in avionics/electrical field or two years accredited schooling plus two years related experience
  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred
  • Proficiency in operation and troubleshooting of aircraft systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in confined areas and lift up to 50 pounds
