Overview

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Avionics Installer II in Savannah, Georgia, to assist with the installation, modification, and fabrication of avionics electrical components. The role involves working under minimal supervision, ensuring all tasks comply with regulatory requirements and customer specifications, while contributing to a culture of trust and integrity.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the removal/installation of avionics electrical components
  • Fabricate wire harnesses and conduct terminations
  • Perform functional tests on avionics/electrical systems
  • Maintain logs and records of completed tasks
  • Ensure work meets regulatory requirements and customer specifications
  • Check all work for defects prior to final inspection
  • Comply with safety regulations and company programs
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area
  • Care for and maintain shop equipment and tools
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or related work experience
  • Avionics certificate from an accredited school with one year of related work experience
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and customer specifications
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills and general software knowledge
