Overview

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Avionics Electrical Technician 4 for its West Palm Beach facility. The role involves advanced testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electrical systems to ensure defect-free aircraft, while also providing leadership and technical guidance to support workforce development.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform operational and functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics/electrical systems.
  • Lead by example and provide technical guidance and training to others.
  • Install and functionally test avionics/electrical components per engineering specifications.
  • Diagnose discrepancies and execute repairs to minimize schedule impact.
  • Repair or replace wiring and components using approved techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering changes and modifications.
  • Document work in logs and maintenance records.
  • Pre-inspect work prior to quality inspection to reduce rework.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Six years of avionics/electrical experience or two years of accredited aviation electronics schooling and four years of
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in aircraft avionics systems
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor in a team environment
  • A & P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification preferred
  • Experience with mid-cabin and large-cabin aircraft preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams
