Job Description

Overview

Air Methods is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technician to work on Bell 407 helicopters in Bullhead City, Arizona. The role involves performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of company-operated aircraft while ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and repairs of aircraft and components.
  • Verify part numbers and serial numbers during installation or removal of components.
  • Execute all aircraft maintenance documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in the company's Safety Management System.
  • Maintain a clean and professional work area.
  • Correct safety or compliance issues when directed.
  • Advise the Pilot in Command of maintenance issues.
  • Manage inventory of aviation parts and supplies.
  • Provide timely on-call availability as needed.

Required skills

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience or training
  • Active FAA A&P License
  • Experience with FAR 135 operations preferred
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Sheet metal and composite repair knowledge
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably RAMCO
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
