Overview

The Aviation Assembler role at Middle River Aerostructure Systems is an entry-level position focused on performing complex assembly and installation tasks in the aerospace manufacturing sector. Candidates will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing precision skills and problem-solving techniques to assemble production sub-assemblies and components for aircraft and rocket systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform complex assembly and installation tasks involving fitting and adjusting parts of major production sub-assemblies
  • Check out and use minor assembly tools and execute advanced riveting techniques
  • Work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to perform assigned duties
  • Ensure conformity to specifications and check the accuracy of fit using precision measuring devices
  • Make repairs, replacements, and alterations according to engineering and Quality Control requirements
  • Prepare surface areas for adhesive applications and apply proper sealants

Required skills

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Ability to work in various temperatures and environments
  • Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining productivity independently
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Experience with assembly and aerospace manufacturing techniques
