Overview

The AV Technician Level 1 is an entry-level position at G-Tech Automation, designed for individuals eager to start a career in luxury residential technology. This role focuses on the essential physical infrastructure of smart homes, involving tasks such as running cables, terminating wires, and installing hardware with high attention to detail while working closely with a Lead Technician.

Key responsibilities

  • Pull, route, and label low-voltage cabling during construction phases.
  • Terminate and verify network tips and speaker connections accurately.
  • Fish wires through existing structures with minimal impact.
  • Install mounting brackets for TVs, projectors, and architectural speakers.
  • Place Wireless Access Points (WAPs), touch panels, and keypads according to engineering plans.
  • Assist in building AV racks and managing power cords.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Assist in equipment deliveries and inventory management.
  • Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and comply with PPE requirements.
  • Support the Lead Technician and contribute to project efficiency.
