Overview

Transdev in Salinas, CA is seeking experienced B-Level Automotive Technicians to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining gas vehicles, ensuring their safety and efficiency. You will work closely with other mechanics and provide mentorship to junior technicians, contributing to the overall performance of the fleet.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools to troubleshoot automotive issues
  • Perform moderate to complex repairs and replacements on automotive components
  • Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns
  • Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify and strategize repairs
  • Troubleshoot and repair automotive electrical systems and electric motors
  • Provide mentorship to junior technicians

Required skills

  • 5-10 years of experience as an Automotive Mechanic
  • ASE certifications preferred
  • Electrical diagnostic and repair skills
  • Familiarity with scan tools and data comprehension
  • Drivability diagnostic skills
  • Strong suspension and brake diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules
  • Must provide own comprehensive tool set

  • $77,000 per year with progression from $40 to $45 per hour
