Overview

Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers is seeking experienced Automotive Technicians to join their high-performing team in Waterloo, Illinois. The ideal candidates will be ASE certified or have significant hands-on experience in automotive repair, focusing on diagnostics and quality service to customers in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles
  • Perform wheel alignments, tire services, brake repairs, and general automotive maintenance
  • Conduct Missouri state inspections or obtain certification
  • Use diagnostic tools and shop equipment to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and engine issues
  • Maintain accurate service documentation for completed work
  • Provide professional customer service when explaining repair recommendations

Required skills

  • ASE certifications or 5+ years of automotive technician experience
  • Missouri State Inspector License or ability to obtain one
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
  • Experience with tire installation, wheel balancing, steering, and suspension
