Overview

Dobbs Tire And Auto Centers is seeking experienced Automotive Technicians to join their team in Alton, Illinois. As part of a number one-rated auto shop, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles in a fast-paced environment, focusing on quality work and customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles
  • Perform wheel alignments, tire services, brake repairs, and vehicle inspections
  • Conduct oil changes, tune-ups, and general automotive maintenance
  • Use diagnostic tools and shop equipment to troubleshoot issues
  • Maintain accurate service documentation for completed work
  • Provide professional customer service and explain repair recommendations

Required skills

  • ASE certifications or 5+ years of automotive technician experience
  • Missouri State Inspector License or ability to obtain one
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
  • Experience with tire installation, wheel balancing, steering, and suspension
