Overview

As an Automotive Service Technician/Mechanic at Jiffy Lube, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality automotive services in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. This role involves performing preventive maintenance and light mechanical services while ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform oil and filter changes, including various service types
  • Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and communicate findings
  • Perform fluid services such as coolant and transmission fluid exchanges
  • Replace air filters, cabin air filters, and batteries
  • Perform tire rotations, balancing, installations, and flat repairs
  • Assist with brake services and diagnose basic mechanical issues
  • Support service recommendations and quotes based on vehicle condition
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Provide professional customer service through clear communication

Required skills

  • Previous automotive or mechanical experience
  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance and automotive systems
  • Ability to perform multiple services in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • ASE certification(s) a plus (ASE A5 preferred)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends
