Overview

As an Automotive Service Technician/Mechanic at Jiffy Lube, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality automotive service, focusing on preventive maintenance and light mechanical services. You will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, assisting customers with their vehicle needs and ensuring a safe and efficient service experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform oil and filter changes, including various types of services
  • Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and communicate findings
  • Perform fluid services including coolant and transmission fluid exchanges
  • Replace air filters, windshield wiper blades, and batteries
  • Perform tire rotations, balancing, installations, and flat repairs
  • Assist with brake services and diagnosing basic mechanical issues
  • Support building service recommendations and quotes
  • Deliver efficient, high-quality service while maintaining safety standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Provide excellent customer service through clear communication

Required skills

  • Previous automotive or mechanical experience
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance and automotive systems
  • Problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • ASE certification(s) a plus
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends
