Job Description

Overview

Agropur is seeking an Automation Technician for the night shift in Luxemburg, Wisconsin. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation and computer-controlled systems, with a strong focus on collaboration and delivering tangible results within a supportive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor and troubleshoot automated systems and HMI systems
  • Perform checks and calibration of plant floor equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance of electrical circuits
  • Help plant production personnel troubleshoot production problems
  • Install and test new electrical circuits and automation systems
  • Maintain and modify automation equipment and technologies
  • Provide technical assistance for automation issues
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance policies
  • Perform basic mechanical duties as needed
  • Document maintenance work and completion of work orders

Required skills

  • Associate's or Technical Degree in Electrical Technology or related field
  • Minimum one year of related experience
  • Experience with PLC programming and electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Skills in wiring electrical control panels and related equipment
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Intermediate math and computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
