Overview

The Automation Technician at Yaskawa is responsible for manufacturing and testing electrical and mechanical assemblies for robotic and factory automation systems. This role requires collaboration with other departments to ensure adherence to quality and production standards while maintaining safety and documentation procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Manufacture and test electrical and mechanical sub-assembly components and systems
  • Build prototype assemblies and systems
  • Organize and plan tasks and workflow
  • Liaise with other departments to meet quality and production goals
  • Utilize and maintain ISO procedures and documentation
  • Recommend improvements for quality and productivity
  • Assist in on-the-job training for co-workers
  • Package automation equipment for transport

Required skills

  • Fundamental knowledge of quality and production systems
  • Ability to read and understand electrical/electronic schematics and mechanical blueprints
  • Electrical assembly and mechanical assembly skills
