Job Description

Overview

As an Automation Engineer at Amazon, you will be integral to maximizing equipment reliability and operational efficiency in fulfillment centers. You'll provide support for advanced control systems and collaborate with teams to enhance material handling systems, ensuring that customers receive their orders efficiently and accurately.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the site expert for maintaining critical automation systems
  • Understand, maintain, and troubleshoot control systems and industrial networks
  • Monitor MHE performance metrics and address system issues with maintenance teams
  • Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians
  • Perform system assessments to enhance material handling system performance

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or automation engineering, or 2+ years of relevant experi
  • Experience in PLC programming, robotics, and control systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and automation environments
  • Familiarity with HMI and control network components
  • Experience programming with RSLogix5000, Studio 5000, and FT View
