Overview

As an Auto Technician Trainee at Safelite, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional auto glass repair and replacement services. This role involves utilizing industry-leading tools and technology to perform tasks efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide vehicle glass repair and replacement services in a Safelite Shop or Mobile Glass Shop.
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing.
  • Operate Safelite's tools and technologies efficiently.
  • Communicate with customers in-person and via phone or text.
  • Promote and sell Safelite services and products.
  • Clean customer vehicles after every job.
  • Comply with all company policies and standards.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Safelite SafeTech certification required
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
  • Experience with computerized diagnostic tools
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Problem-solving abilities
