Overview

The Auto Technician Trainee at Safelite will be an integral part of the company's commitment to providing exceptional auto glass services. This role involves completing repairs, replacements, and recalibrations in both shop and mobile settings, using industry-leading tools and technologies while focusing on quality and customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide all vehicle glass repair and replacement services efficiently.
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems and conduct diagnostic testing.
  • Operate Safelite's tools and technologies effectively.
  • Safely drive company and customer vehicles throughout the workday.
  • Communicate with customers in-person and through various channels.
  • Promote and sell Safelite services to customers.
  • Comply with all company policies and standards.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Safelite SafeTech certification required.
  • Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Strong customer service skills and professionalism.
  • Communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
