Overview

The Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee at Safelite is a paid training position aimed at equipping individuals with the necessary skills to become proficient auto glass technicians. Throughout this training program, participants will learn the Safelite way, focusing on quality installation and repair of auto glass, while embodying a customer service mindset.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate in hands-on and classroom training for auto glass installation and repair
  • Assist in recalibrating automotive safety systems and performing diagnostic testing
  • Complete jobs timely and uphold high-quality standards
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles
  • Comply with all company policies and standards

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Experience with hand and power tools
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
